A method for providing a camera calibration includes recovering geometric information from a single rectangular image, obtaining intrinsic and extrinsic construction information of a camera based on the recovered geometric information, obtaining a shooting position and real geometric information of the camera from the obtained intrinsic and extrinsic construction information of the camera.

Disclosed herein are a method for human-machine interaction and an apparatus for the same. The method includes receiving object identification input for identifying an object related to the task to be dictated to a machine through the I/O interface of a user device that displays a 3D space; displaying an object identification visual interface, corresponding to the object identified within the space recognized by the machine, on the user device in an augmented-reality manner; receiving position identification input for identifying a position in the 3D space related to the task; displaying a position identification visual interface, corresponding to the position identified within the space recognized by the machine, on the user device in an augmented-reality manner; and receiving information related to the result of the task performed through the machine.

An apparatus for restoring a cubical object includes: a vanishing point computing part configured to compute vanishing points corresponding to an image; an image depth computing part configured to compute an image depth of a cubical object in the image; a central rectangle computing part configured to compute a central rectangle based on a representative rectangle of the image and the vanishing points; a restored rectangle computing part configured to compute a restored rectangle corresponding to the central rectangle and a projection center point using a coupled line camera (CLC) method; a cube depth computing part configured to computed a restored cubical object depth based on the central rectangle, the restored rectangle and the projection center point; and a cube restoring part configured to restore a cubical object having the restored rectangle as one surface thereof and having a depth of the restored cubical object depth.

A virtual content provision apparatus and method for augmenting usability of a real object. The virtual content provision apparatus includes a real object information acquisition unit for acquiring real object information corresponding to a real object through an input module, a virtual content search unit for searching for any one piece of virtual content based on the real object information, a virtual interface projection unit for projecting a virtual interface corresponding to the virtual content onto the real object through an output module, a user input detection unit for detecting user input on the virtual interface based on the input module, and a virtual content provision unit for, when the user input is detected, extracting virtual information related to the user input based on the virtual content, and projecting and providing the virtual information to correspond to the real object information through the output module.

An apparatus for calibrating a camera comprises a camera; an input unit configured to receive a segmentation diagonal ratio of the environment quadrangle; a memory configured to store a program; and a processor configured to perform camera calibration based on the program, wherein the program is configured to: extract diagonal parameters of a centered quadrangle from the image; estimate length of a projection center line; estimate a projection angle; estimate an angle between diagonals of a projection quadrangle; estimate a projection center point; and estimate extrinsic and intrinsic parameters of the camera.
