Abstract: An air chamber including a resilient boot is provided between the base and seat portion of a vehicle seat. A post projects downwardly from the seat portion inside the boot and is guided for vertical movement by rollers mounted on means fixed with respect to the base. Spring means resist excessive upward and downward movement of the seat, and means are provided to allow limited fore-and-aft movement of the seat to offset backslap. The seat includes seat and backrest cushions and means for raising, lowering, and tilting either cushion.
