Abstract: Improved decocking mechanism for a semi-automatic firearm has a lever pivotable on one side of the frame of the gun. One end of the lever includes an actuator and the opposite end, has a sector gear meshed with the toothed surface of a pawl rotatable on the hammer pin between a first position and a second position. The pawl is disposed adjacent the hammer and includes a first leg engageable with the sear to pivot the same against sear spring pressure out of engagement with a first notch adapted for holding the hammer in its fully cocked position. The pawl includes a second leg engageable with the drawbar to pivot the same downwardly to prevent its engagement with the sear in response to the trigger pull. The hammer includes a second notch engageable with the sear to hold the hammer in a half-cocked position and a reset pin disposed to engage the first leg and to return the pawl and the decocking lever to their at-rest positions upon forward rotation of the hammer. A decocking lever spring serves to urge the decocking lever to its initial position.

Abstract: This invention is concerned with carburetion of gasoline for the purpose of reducing the consumption of gasoline and preventing pollution. The procedure for carrying out this function is by evaporation and osmosis. In the lower chamber of the carburetor where the liquid gasoline is located are immersed a plurality of special tubes. The tubes have in their lower portion on the inside surface an absorbant material, and wicks extending therefrom. In the upper portion of the tubes where the wicks are located, there are a plurality of lateral openings. The gasoline is located in a lower chamber where the tubes are immersed. The upper portion of the tubes are not immersed in the gasoline. When the motor is turned on, the intake valve opens and air is drawn through the air filter in the carburetor and down into the tubes. The air contacts the wicks in the tubes, vapor is formed, and passes through the openings thereof into a chamber which has a protective material located therein. From this chamber, the vapors of gasoline pass into the intake tube and are metered by the butterfly valve for delivery to the manifold and distribution to the cylinders of the engine. There is also provided a valve in proximity to the intake arrangement to insure the release of any back pressure which develops during a backfire. This valve is designed to open automatically and release the pressure so as to prevent damage within the carburetor.

Abstract: The moving drive portion of the force motor for an electromechanical servovalve is mechanicalkly constrained by slide bearing located on either side of the moving part to prevent it from rubbing against nonmoving parts, in turn, causing early failure and reliability problems. The connection between the force motor and the servovalve is adjustable to allow both the force motor to be electrically centered and the servovalve to be mechanically centered.
