摘要: An information handling system keyboard includes moveable keys that depress vertically to perform an input at a membrane, such as against a contact sensor, and fixed keys that detect an input without requiring vertical movement, such as a force against a pressure sensor integrated in the membrane. The fixed keys are disposed at opposing sides of the keyboard to align along an edge of the information handling system housing and the moveable keys are disposed between the opposing ends of fixed keys. Haptic actuators disposed under the fixed keys provides feedback to an end user when an input is sensed at a fixed key.

摘要: An information handling system integrated keyboard selectively retracts and extends keys based upon detected conditions, such as housing configuration, housing motion and end user indications. Extension and retraction shuttle plates motivated by actuator wires moves a sliding plate to extended and retracted positions that define the key positions. Nickel titanium alloy actuator wires shorten upon application of current to pull the shuttle plates to the extended or retracted positions that are maintained by a lock. Limit switches remove current at detection of a desired shuttle plate position. One or more controllers manage actuator wire operation based upon detected conditions and actuator wire temperature and electrical characteristics.

A keyboard detaches from the main housing upper surface to expose guides that manage the display housing sliding motion towards the main housing front side. The all-in-one position raises the main housing towards a near-vertical orientation to raise the display above a support surface for end user viewing while an end user interacts with the keyboard separated from the housing.

摘要: A portable information handling system stand couples to a main housing lower surface with a dual axle hidden stand hinge that extends the stand parallel to the main housing lower surface with an initial synchronized opposing rotation of the axles by a predetermined amount, such as 45 degrees, and then rotates out a stand supporting end with rotation of one axle while the other axle remains stationary. Initial parallel extension of the stand reduces the amount of space in the main housing lower surface consumed by rotational movement of the stand to an extended position.
