    摘要: A method and system of creating an education simulation having a character that a learner interacts with is disclosed. The method includes providing a simulation interface through a simulation software code, wherein the character appears within the simulation interface, providing a data storage area for storing a trait of the character, the trait having a trait value, communicating possible statements and/or actions through the simulation interface to the learner, receiving from the learner a chosen statement or action from the possible statements and/or actions, responding to the statement or action chosen by the learner by providing a character response by the character, wherein the character response provided is determined by the trait value of the at least one trait, and generating new possible statements and/or actions for the learner contained within the data storage area.

By operating in a substantially parallel fashion, the separate processes of capturing, encoding, and uploading one or more data files created from a data source can be completed much more quickly and efficiently, thereby making the resultant data file available to the content consumer in an overall shorter period of time than presently possible using conventional sequential data file creation techniques. The method also includes the reorganization of standard data files as part of the process to more quickly and efficiently create the data file for distribution and ultimate consumption by the content consumer user.

    摘要: A multi-media presentation system converts frame-based content from the presentation into a collection of slide assets of a multi-media file type. A time-based content recorded during the presentation is converted into a collection of audio/video assets of the multi-media file type. The time-based content includes one or more of audio and video recorded during the presentation. A presentation control file is generated having a sequence of control segments. Each control segment specifies playback duration for one of the slide and audio/video assets, and placement information indicating control segment placement within the sequence. The slide assets, the audio/video assets, and the presentation control file are packaged as a collection of files readable by a player that, responsive to reading the presentation control file, plays the presentation as a series of assets synchronized according to the playback durations and placement information specified by the control segments.
