Abstract: A heat exchanger includes tubes arranged in a stacking direction and a tank connected to the tubes. A tube of the tubes has a pair of flat portions having flat plate shapes facing each other, and a curved portion connecting ends of the pair of flat portions. The tank includes a plate having insertion holes into which the tubes are inserted, and container. The plate has a first portion along a longitudinal direction of the tubes, and a second portion extending from an end of the first portion toward the container. When the plate is viewed in the stacking direction, a boundary between the first portion and the second portion is shifted from a boundary between each of the pair of flat portions and the curved portion toward the pair of flat portions.

Abstract: A heat exchanger includes tubes and a header tank. The header tank includes a core plate and a tank body. The core plate includes a tube connection surface and a receiving portion that houses an end portion of the tank body. The receiving portion includes a bottom wall and an inner wall that connects the bottom wall to the tube connection surface. The tube connection surface and the inner wall are connected to a rib. The rib is located between adjacent two tubes and inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the tubes. The rib includes one end connected to the tube connection surface and an other end connected to the inner wall. The tubes includes lateral ends in the width direction, and a clearance, which has a specified dimension, is defined between the inner wall and the lateral ends in the width direction.

The inclined portion is provided on the core plate such that a first virtual line extending linearly along the inclined portion from the receiving portion toward the tube joint portion and a second virtual line extending linearly along the tube joint portion in a direction of a long diameter in a cross section of the tube are intersected outside of the tube in the width direction of the tube.

Abstract: A heat exchange system includes a heat exchanger, a radiator, a connecting member, a shutter, and a controller. The heat exchanger is configured to exchange heat between a heat medium circulating through a heat exchange cycle and an air introduced into an engine compartment. The radiator is configured to exchange heat between a cooling water and the air. The connecting member thermally connects between the heat exchanger and the radiator. The shutter is configured to selectively allow and prevent supply of air to the heat exchanger and the radiator. The controller is configured to determine whether a required heat absorption amount of the heat exchanger can be supplemented by a required heat dissipation amount of the radiator, and control the shutter to move in a closing direction upon determining that the required heat absorption amount can be supplemented by the required heat dissipation amount.

Abstract: A heat exchanger includes multiple tubes and multiple fins. Each of the tubes has a tubular shape extending in a horizontal direction. Each of the fins is disposed between adjacent ones of the tubes in a vertical direction vertical to the horizontal direction. Each of the fins is corrugated and includes bent portions located near the adjacent ones of the tubes and flat plate portions each of which extends in the vertical direction to connect between two of the bent portions. Each of the fins includes a pair of slits and an offset portion. At least a portion of the pair of slits extends to one of the bent portions. The offset portion is formed by having a portion of each of the fins between the pair of slits recessed inward of the one of the bent portions.
