    Abstract: A cold storage heat exchanger has: refrigerant pipes each of which has a refrigerant passage therein, the refrigerant pipes arranged to be distanced from each other with clearances therebetween; and a cold storage material disposed in at least one of the clearances. At least an another one of the clearances provides an air passage. The heat storage material is disposed in at least two of the clearances arranged adjacent to each other. A refrigerant pipe pitch between two of the refrigerant pipes that are adjacent to each other and therebetween have the cold storage material is shorter than a refrigerant pipe pitch between two of the refrigerant pipes that are adjacent to each other and therebetween have the air passage. Thus, a time duration required for a cold storage can be shortened.

    Abstract: A cold storage heat exchanger has refrigerant pipes fins, and cold-storage-medium containers. The cold-storage-medium container is arranged next to the refrigerant pipe. A cold storage medium is accommodated in the cold-storage-medium container in order to leave an air cell, and to provide a filling ratio of less than 90%. The cold-storage-medium container has a plurality of depressions at an inside of the cold-storage-medium container. The depression is a dimple. The plurality of depressions are joined each other at top parts and provide high rigidity. The cold-storage-medium container is positioned on the refrigerant pipe by an engaging projection. An open end of an open depression is covered by the refrigerant pipe. The cold storage medium can flow into the open depression. Therefore, the cold storage medium may directly contact the refrigerant pipe, and is directly cooled with the refrigerant.

    Abstract: An evaporator includes multiple refrigerant tubes, multiple air passages provided between the refrigerant tubes, a cold storage container disposed in the multiple air passages, and a temperature detector. The evaporator further includes a freezing allowable region and a freezing unallowable region that is provided above the freezing allowable region. The cold storage container has a small thickness region and a large thickness region that is positioned above the small thickness region. The large thickness region demarcates a smaller space with the refrigerant tubes than the space demarcated between the small thickness region and the refrigerant tubes. The small thickness region of the cold storage container is positioned within the freezing allowable region, the large thickness region is positioned in the freezing unallowable region, and the temperature detector is disposed in the freezing allowable region.
