In the vehicle environment view, a texture of a non-visible region of a ground surface located under the vehicle body and not visible to the vehicle cameras is calculated based on texture data of a visible region of the ground surface that is visible to vehicles cameras and surrounds the non-visible region.

The image of the surroundings being displayed on a display unit. The data processing unit re-projects textures, which are detected by the vehicle cameras, on an adaptive re-projection surface, which is similar to the area surrounding the vehicle, the re-projection surface being calculated based on sensor data provided by vehicle sensors. The data processing unit adapts the re-projection surface depending on a position and an orientation of a virtual camera.

The parking assistance system can include at least one camera designed to record at least one image. Additionally, the parking assistance system may have an image evaluation unit designed to determine the relative position and the orientation of another vehicle depicted in the image. Additionally, the image evaluation unit may be designed to adapt a grid structure on the basis of the determined orientation of the other vehicle, with the image being projected onto the adapted grid structure.

摘要: A surround view system for a vehicle includes a processor (10) and cameras (2 to 5) that can be arranged on the vehicle so that the cameras (2 to 5) can record images of an outside environment of the vehicle. The processor is configured to analyze a position (α) and/or a movement of a movable part (14) of the vehicle (1) and to generate a composite image of the outside environment from individual images recorded by the cameras. Furthermore, the processor is configured to calculate an image processing region within the composite image for an adaptive image processing, to determine, based on the analyzed position and/or movement of the movable part (14), that a back-projection of the movable part (14) goes beyond the image processing region, and to modify the image processing region so that the back-projection of the movable part (14) is within the modified image processing region.

An image is calculated having a low dynamic range, in particular an LDR image, from the overall HDR image. An apparatus is also disclosed for generating an image of vehicle surroundings.

A vehicle environment view is calculated based on the camera images. A texture of a ground surface that is located below the vehicle body and is not visible to the cameras, is determined within the vehicle environment view by performing a local color prediction and a movement-compensated texture prediction.
