摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an acquisition unit that acquires N-valued image data corresponding to an image including at least one object, and edge data indicating an edge area of the object, an image processing unit that generates M-valued (N>M≥2) quantized data where each of a plurality of pixels is associated with one of a value indicating that no dot is to be recorded and a value indicating that a dot is to be recorded, based on the acquired image data, using an image processing parameter, and a changing unit that changes at least one pixel among pixels that indicate the edge area of the object in the edge data and have the value indicating that no dot is to be recorded in the quantized data so that the at least one pixel has the value indicating that the dot is to be recorded.

摘要: An inkjet printing apparatus includes a printhead in which a plurality of ejection ports that eject ink are formed, a carriage mounted with the printhead and reciprocated in a predetermined direction, a conveyance unit to convey a print medium, a platen to support, at a printing position, the conveyed print medium, and an obtaining unit to obtain information regarding a distance from an ejection port surface of the printhead to the print medium at positions in the predetermined direction. The apparatus controls an ink ejection timing in accordance with the information regarding the obtained distance and information corresponding to the number of passes of printing, which is the number of times of moving the carriage to print the image in a unit area of the print medium.

An inkjet printing apparatus prints an adjustment pattern including multiple patches for adjusting print positions of dots by a print head on a print medium. Patches set next to each other in a scanning direction are printed above platen ribs at intervals based on rib pitches at which the platen ribs are arranged.

摘要: An object is to reduce deterioration of image quality at a leading edge portion and a trailing edge portion of a high-stiffness print medium. To achieve that, in a case of printing an image onto a leading edge portion of the print medium in its conveyance direction, the image is printed using printing elements included in a region in a printing element region that is close to a first conveyance member on the upstream side. Also, in a case of printing an image onto a trailing edge portion of the print medium in the conveyance direction, the image is printed using printing elements included in a region in the printing element region that is close to a second conveyance member on the downstream side.

The printed product is generated by outputting an image onto a recording medium based on fed input image data. The apparatus includes an input unit configured to receive inputs of luminance dynamic range information of the input image data and exposure condition information at the time of imaging regarding the input image data, an acquisition unit configured to acquire characteristic information of the recording medium, and a determination unit configured to determine the illumination condition based on the luminance dynamic range information, the exposure condition information, and the characteristic information.
