Abstract: There is provided a filter for use with a hair air-styling device and a method for maintaining and/or replacing such a filter. The filter has a frame for detachably retaining a flexible screening fabric so as to form an air permeable wall. Abstract: A hair straightener or straightening device is provided that includes a handle adapted to be attached to a housing. The housing has a heat transmissive plate surrounded by a cover formed by curved rings and teeth, which serve to guide and tension the hair along the heat transmissive plate.
