Abstract: A method for joining a mobile device to a meeting event begins with docking a mobile device in a docking station. The mobile device can be associated with a user profile, and is operable to receive a monitoring input. The mobile device detects a change in the monitoring input, and determines whether or not the change in the monitoring input corresponds with a docked state of the mobile device. Upon determining that the change in monitoring input did correspond with a docked state, a meeting application of the mobile device configures a docking mode of the mobile device. The meeting application connects to a meeting calendar that is associated with the user profile, and retrieves a desired meeting event from the meeting calendar. The meeting application then joins the desired meeting event.

Abstract: A docking station can comprise a body component configured to receive a mobile computing device such that a display of the mobile computing device is presented outward from the body component. An acoustic audio enhancement horn can be positioned inside of the body component and include an internal opening and an external opening. The internal opening can receive audio from a speaker of the mobile computing device, which is enhanced by the acoustic audio enhancement horn and then outputted through the external opening. The docking station can also include a camera lens mounting element that is coupled to the body component and is configured to receive an external camera lens and align the external camera lens with a camera lens of the mobile computing device such that the camera lens of the mobile computing device can capture image data through the external camera lens.
