摘要: The present invention is a peptide compound which stimulates the formation of hard tissues such as bone and cartilage. The invention is also related to a method to treat a defect in hard tissues such as bone and cartilage using the peptide. The method of the present invention may be used to treat or prevent the defects in bones and cartilages which are caused by rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis which involves the regeneration of new bone or cartilage in or around the defects.

摘要: The present invention is a method for promoting angiogenesis by administering a formulation comprising an effective amount of a peptidic compound, e.g., a peptide having the sequence TDLQERGDNDISPFSGDGQPFKD (SEQ ID NO: 30), which enhances angiogenesis through the induction of pro-angiogenic factors such as FGF2, TGFβ and fibronectin. Formulations may be administered by catheter to treat or prevent diseases and conditions which involve angiogenesis by administering an effective amount of the peptidic compound alone or in combination with one or more additional therapeutic agents.
