摘要： An air cleaner arrangement for filtering air includes a filter element receivable inside a housing. The filter element longitudinally extends along an axis line between a first end surface and a second end surface. The filter element can be shaped as a tapering polyhedron including at least one planar exterior surface that depends from the first end surface to the second end surface with respect to the axis line. When received in the housing, the depending exterior surface diverges away from the sidewall of the housing to create an expanding plenum. The plenum facilities even distribution of air along the axial length of the filter element.

摘要： An inertial separator includes an inlet portion connected to a Y-junction having a first conduit fluidly extending therefrom and a second conduit fluidly extending therefrom. A separator wall is disposed between and along at least a portion of the first and second conduits. The separator wall has a tip extending into the Y-junction between an inlet to the first conduit and an inlet to the second conduit. An acute angle is formed between a major longitudinal dimension of the separator wall and the inlet portion centerline, and a ramp is formed adjacent the second end of the generally straight inlet portion, upstream of the Y-junction in a direction of airflow from the inlet opening towards the first and second outlets. During operation, debris entering the inlet portion is separated from an airflow and exits the through the second conduit while air exits through the first conduit.

The first and second side members may extend in a substantially longitudinal direction and substantially within respective first and second planes with an intermediate space therebetween. The filter element may further include filter media separating and extending between the first side member and the second side member in the intermediate space. The first and second side members and the filter media may have a perimeter cross-section substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and the filter element may further include a locating flange extending substantially around the perimeter cross-section and transverse to the longitudinal direction, wherein the locating flange does not lie within a single plane.

The center tube includes a plurality of ribs extending along the central axis and spaced apart from one another. The plurality of segmenting surfaces is configured to accommodate a plurality of filter media therebetween such that each of the plurality of filter media is selectively replaceable therefrom.

摘要： A disposable filter for an engine includes a shroud and a filter element. The shroud has at least one pair of sidewalls that define an inlet and an outlet respectively therethrough. The sidewall includes an outer ply, an inner ply, and a core comprising a honeycomb matrix of cells. The outer ply and the inner ply are disposed in a spaced-apart relation to each other. Lateral ends of the core are bonded to inner surfaces of the outer ply and the inner ply to integrally form the sidewall. The filter element is disposed within the shroud and also releasably coupled to the shroud. Further, the shroud and the filter element are both formed using at least one bio-degradable material.
