Abstract: This application discloses a method for processing group information. When an upper limit of a number of people in a target group needs to be expanded, an expansion request is transmitted based on triggering by a first user on the target group. The expansion request includes an identification of the target group, and the expansion request is configured to request for expanding an upper limit of a number of group members of the target group. A second user with expansion permission may configure the upper limit of the number of the target group based on the expansion request.
