Abstract: A sound effect display method and a terminal device. The sound effect display method comprises including: receiving a first operation, which is input to a target audio file; and in response to the first operation, displaying a sound effect display interface corresponding to the target audio file in response to the first operation, wherein-the sound effect display interface comprises: includes a cover image corresponding to the target audio file, and a plurality of sound wave columns, which are arranged along the edge of the cover image; and the cover image is scaled up or scaled down according to a preset sound attribute of the target audio file, and the plurality of sound wave columns extend, according to the preset sound attribute of the target audio file and in a direction perpendicular to the edge of the cover image, to an area where the cover image is located according to the preset sound attribute of the target audio file in a direction perpendicular to the edge of the cover image, so as to form a sound wave waveform corresponding to the preset sound attribute of the target audio file.
