摘要: An implantable medical device comprises a sensing device for sensing a measurement quantity indicative of a presence of an MRI device, a processing device for controlling operation of the implantable medical device and for identifying a presence of an MRI device based on measurement values obtained from the sensing device; and a program memory. An analysis module is configured to store information concerning a multiplicity of events relating to operation of the implantable medical device. The program memory is configured to store at least two program routines for operating the implantable medical device in case of a presence of an MRI device. The processing device is configured, for controlling operation of the implantable medical device in the presence of an MRI device, to select one of said at least two program routines based on a statistical analysis of information concerning a predefined number of events of said multiplicity of events.

摘要: A communication system for wireless data transmission between an implantable medical device (IMD) and an external device and a respective communication method are disclosed aiming at the increase of longevity of an IMD energy source. The communication system comprises a communication unit and a processor. The IMD is configured to monitor a bodily parameter of a patient and/or is configured to deliver a therapy signal to the patient, wherein the IMD comprises a transceiver module configured to exchange the data with the communication unit of the external device in an uplink direction from the transceiver module to the communication unit and in a downlink direction from the communication unit to the transceiver module. Further, a respective computer program product and computer readable data carrier is described.

摘要: An implantable medical device comprises a sensing device for sensing a magnetic field, and a processing device configured to detect a presence of an MRI device based on measurement values obtained from the sensing device. The processing device is configured to conclude that an MRI device is present if a multiplicity of measurement values indicates an increase of a strength of the magnetic field. Further, the sensing device is configured to conduct measurements at a specified frequency in between 1 Hz and 50 Hz, in particular at 4 Hz, and to provide measurement values at a predefined sampling rate.

摘要: In a method for initiating a data transfer from an implantable medical device a relay data request is generated at a remote device, the relay data request containing an implant interrogation request representing a request for the implantable medical device to create an interrogation data set. The relay data request is transferred to a patient device, and a communication link between the patient device and the implantable medical device is established to transmit said implant interrogation request to the implantable medical device. An implant interrogation response is transferred from the implantable medical device to the patient device, the implant interrogation response representing a response from the implantable medical device containing said interrogation data set. The implant interrogation response is transferred from the patient device to the remote device.
