Abstract:
Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for controlling a Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) camera. A video stream is provided by the PTZ camera. The video stream includes a main image and a smaller picture-in-picture overlay. The main image and the overlay show the same view. The overlay has both a higher frame rate and a lower resolution compared to the main image. A movement control instruction is received, by the PTZ camera, in response to an evaluation of at least one of the main image and the overlay.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for visualizing information of a digital video stream is disclosed. The apparatus comprises: a memory arranged to store a series of merged image frames which is formed by merging groups of image frames of the digital video stream; a blending module arranged to blend multiple merged frames into a series of blended image frames, wherein each of a plurality of the merged image frames contributes to a plurality of the blended image frames; and a display arranged to display the series of blended image frames.

Abstract:
A method is provided for switching operation of a monitoring system from a first monitoring mode to a second monitoring mode. An overview image is presented when the monitoring system is in a first monitoring mode. A direction signal is received from a control means when the monitoring system is in the first monitoring mode. A camera is directed in an absolute direction indicated by the direction signal in accordance with a first camera control scheme. The monitoring system enters into a second monitoring mode in response to receiving the direction signal presenting a detailed image view captured by the camera when directed in the direction indicated by the direction signal. When in the second monitoring mode, a camera head of the camera is moved in response to control signals from the control means in accordance with a second control scheme.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed that provide a secure wireless connection between two electronic devices. Techniques disclosed comprise: generating, on a server, a temporary code; registering, on a first device, the temporary code; sending, from the server to a second device, the temporary code; determining, on the first device, a first temporary credential based on the temporary code; determining, on the second device, a second temporary credential based on the temporary code; establishing, using the first and the second temporary credentials, a temporary connection between the first and the second devices; determining, on the second device, a secure credential; sending, from the second device to the first device, the secure credential via the temporary connection; and establishing, using the secure credential, a secure connection between the first and the second electronic devices.
