Abstract: A method for interference reduction in a stationary radar unit of a frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) type is provided. A sequence of beat signals is received, and a reference beat signal is calculated as an average or a median of one or more of the beat signals in the sequence. By comparing a difference between a beat signal and the reference beat signal, or a derivative of the difference, to one or more thresholds, a segment which is subject to interference is identified. The segment of the beat signal is replaced by one or more of a corresponding segment of an adjacent beat signal in the sequence, and a corresponding segment of the reference beat signal.

Abstract: A method for producing an interference reduced radar image comprises receiving a measured sequence of beat signals; identifying one or more interference segments within the measured sequence of beat signals, an interference segment being a segment subject to an interference; doctoring the measured sequence of beat signals by creating a doctored representation of the measured sequence of beat signals in the form of a matrix Y; creating a doctoring mask representing the doctoring of the measured sequence of beat signals, the doctoring mask being a matrix M; and estimating a reconstructed range-doppler image {circumflex over (X)} from Y and M, wherein the reconstructed range-doppler image is a range-doppler image of Y which is deconvolved using M; such that doctoring the measured sequence of beat signals at least partially removes interference effects and estimating a reconstructed range-doppler image at least partially removes image artefacts created by the doctoring.

Abstract: A Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) master (110) and method therein for transferring data to a peripheral device in a data communication and processing system (100) are disclosed. The SPI master (110) comprises a memory (111) comprising a list of packets, each packet comprises data associated with a time parameter indicating at which time the data is to be transferred to the peripheral device. The time parameter is configurable. The SPI master further comprises a serial transmit and receive unit (112) to transfer the data in the list at a time according to the time parameter associated with the data.

Abstract: The present application relates to methods and systems for including sensor data from a sensor unit (108) as an overlay (204) in a video stream from a camera (106) monitoring a scene (200). The overlay has overlay regions (206a-f) corresponding to scene regions (202a-f), and when the sensor unit detects motion in a scene region a graphical element (208) is added to the overlay in the overlay region corresponding to that scene region. Video analytics procedures, such as object feature detection or motion or change detection may then be used to determine if detection has been made in a specific scene region by both the camera and the sensor unit.
