Abstract: A vehicle seat equipped with a side airbag device includes: an inflator disposed on an outer side in a vehicle width direction relative to a side frame; an inner chamber housed inside the side part, and is configured to inflate and deploy toward a part of an occupant on the outer side in the vehicle width direction upon receiving supply of a gas from the inflator; an outer chamber housed inside the side part, and is configured to inflate and deploy toward the outer side in the vehicle width direction and a vehicle front side relative to the inner chamber upon receiving supply of the gas; and a diffuser housed inside the side part and configured to supply the gas into the inner chamber from a first supply port formed in a peripheral wall of the diffuser when the inflator is activated.

Abstract: A curtain airbag device with which the position of a tether that pulls an end chamber during inflation and deployment thereof can be stabilized, thereby stabilizing the deployment behavior of the end chamber. A curtain airbag device 100 is housed in a side face upper portion of a vehicle cabin and inflated and deployed along the side face, and includes a main chamber 132 that is inflated and deployed using gas from an inflator 122, an end chamber 134 that is disposed on a front end 136 of the main chamber and inflated and deployed by gas received from the main chamber, a tab 144 attached to an upper portion of the main chamber, a bracket 128 fixed to the side face upper portion of the vehicle cabin, the tab being passed through the bracket, and a tether 126 attached so as to extend from a front end 138 of an upper portion of the end chamber to the bracket, wherein a length La of the tether is shorter than a distance Lb from the front end of the upper portion of the end chamber to the bracket in a case where the main chamber and the end chamber are inflated and deployed without the tether.

A front chamber 116 inflates into areas toward the front of the vehicle and the upper part of the vehicle from the sectioning wall 124. An upper opening 126 is formed on the sectioning wall 124 in a rear part of the upper edge of the rear chamber 114. A lower opening 128 is formed on the sectioning wall 124 in a lower part of the front edge of the rear chamber 114.

Abstract: A side airbag apparatus which allows a reduced amount of base fabric and, enables gas to flow efficiently inside the cushion. An inflator (110) supplies gas, a cushion (104) in which base fabrics are formed into a bag shape and inflates and deploys to protect an occupant (118) during a vehicle emergency, a base fabric joint portion (120) which is provided to join main panels 108a and 108b of the cushion (104) in a linear manner and partitions the cushion (104) into a rear chamber (114), a front chamber (116), and an opening (123) provided midway along the base fabric joint portion (120). The base fabric joint portion (120) includes vent forming portions 125a and 125b arranged in two rows which extend from both ends of the opening (123) towards the front chamber (116) or rear chamber (114) and form a projecting vent (124). The projecting vent (124) permits flow of gas between the rear chamber (114) and the front chamber (116).

Abstract: A curtain airbag device that allows easy recognition and correction of twisting of an airbag during attaching. The curtain airbag device can be stored in a compact manner during transportation. The curtain airbag device including an airbag that is disposed along a roof side rail of a vehicle interior, and that can deploy so as to cover a window portion on a side face of the vehicle interior, the curtain airbag device further including a cover that covers the airbag, at least, in a part of the folded or rolled airbag in the longitudinal direction. The cover is formed of a pliable fabric material of polymer fibers, and maintains the shape of the rolled-up airbag through mutual fusion of at least a part of the polymer fibers. A high stiffness portion harder than other portions and formed during the fusion of the cover is provided in the cover extending in the longitudinal direction of the cover.

Abstract: A side airbag device including a cushion (104), an inflator (110), and a structure such as a rotating shaft (140) built in a seat (102). The inflator (110) has a gas ejection hole inside the cushion (104), a connector (136) on the other end side, and a stud bolt (112). The cushion (104) has a bag-shaped chamber (114), an extension portion (124) into which the inflator (110) is inserted, and a predetermined tab (118) held in the vicinity of the other end side of the inflator (110). The rotating shaft (140) is disposed to pass through a space portion (E1) surrounded by the chamber (114), the extension portion (124), the inflator (110), and the tab (118), and the cushion (104) is attached to the seat (102) by the stud bolt (112).
