Abstract: A joint for coupling glass elements having fittings embedded within the glass elements is provided. For example, such a joint may include a first fitting embedded in an edge face of a first glass panel, where the first fitting includes a first attachment feature, a second fitting embedded in an edge face of a second glass panel, where the second fitting is coupled to the first fitting and includes a second attachment feature, and a mechanical fastener coupling the first fitting to the second fitting by the first attachment feature and the second attachment feature.
