    Abstract: Integrated cooling structures and methods may comprise a motor, a propeller, and a component having at least one structural feature configured to receive or channel airflow to generate a positive pressure region at a first end of the motor. During operation of the motor and propeller, a negative pressure region may be generated at a second end of the motor proximate the propeller. The positive and negative pressure regions may generate a pressure differential or gradient between ends of the motor, such that a cooling airflow may be generated that flows through an interior of the motor from the positive pressure region to the negative pressure region. The cooling airflow may increase cooling of internal components of the motor, and consequently improve various operational capabilities, performance, and reliability of the motor and associated vehicle, machine, or system.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to form concentrated motor windings may include bending wires into a U-shape, inserting the wires onto a stator pole, bending ends of the wires around the stator pole, and welding respective pairs of the ends of the bent wires. In some example embodiments, the U-shape may include a twist along a central portion thereof. In other example embodiments, a twist may be introduced along the respective pairs of bent ends of the wires that are then welded. In addition, the wires may be stacked and laterally inserted onto the stator pole. Further, the wire bending, twisting, insertion, welding, and other forming processes may be performed by automated or robotic machinery or equipment.

    Abstract: Described are systems and methods for providing a centralized inverter architecture that incorporates multiple inverters co-located in a single integrated power core. Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure can provide an exemplary power electronics system that includes integrated power core units having multiple inverters co-located in a centralized location. The integrated power cores can enable compute topologies that enable communication between the inverters and coordinated operation of the inverters. The integrated power cores can also be configured as a single line replaceable unit (LRU) to facilitate efficient repair, maintenance, and/or replacement of each integrated power core.
