A security event is detected based at least in part on the security event detection rule. Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for extending cloud-based virtual private networks to user equipment on radio-based networks. In one embodiment, a request is received from a client device for service from a radio-based network. The client device is provided with access to a virtual private cloud network through the radio-based network in response to receiving the request from the client device for service from the radio-based network. Encapsulated network traffic is forwarded from the client device to the virtual private cloud network via a network link between the radio-based network and a cloud provider network that hosts one or more resources on the virtual private cloud network.

Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for automated deployment of radio-based networks. In one embodiment, a request to provision a radio-based network for a customer by a provider according to a network plan is received via an application programming interface (API) of a cloud provider network. An arrangement of a plurality of cells for the customer is determined. Respective antennas and radio units for individual ones of the plurality of cells are preconfigured to implement the radio-based network before shipping the respective antennas and the radio units to the customer.

Abstract: The relative positions of two or more electronic devices can be determined utilizing ultrasonic beacons. Each device can have a unique signature that can be included in the beacon broadcast by that device. A device having an array of ultrasonic detectors can receive a beacon and correlate the beacon received at each detector. The time of arrival then can be used to determine the relative position of the source of the beacon. The signature in that beacon can also be used to determine the identity of the device that broadcast the beacon, in order to determine the identity of the device, or a user of that device, at the determined relative position. The devices can be configured to transmit signals over the air or through a specific transmission medium, such as propagating surface. Further, a dedicated detector array can be used for determining multiple relative positions.

The radio units are preconfigured to implement a radio access network for the radio-based private network. A shipment is initiated to the customer of the radio units that have been preconfigured. Resources in a cloud provider network are provisioned to function as a core network for the radio-based private network.
