The enlarged region feature quantity detector defines the partial region of interest and the partial regions neighboring the partial region of interest, and detects a feature quantity of the image of the enlarged region. The whole screen feature quantity detector detects this feature quantity as a whole screen feature quantity. On the basis of the partial region feature quantity and the enlarged region feature quantity pertaining to the partial region of interest, and the whole screen feature quantity, the light emission controller controls the light emission luminance of the light emission unit corresponding to the partial region of interest.

    摘要: An intermediate image generating means (1) generates a horizontal intermediate image (D1h) and a vertical intermediate image (D1v) by extracting components of an input image (DIN) in a particular frequency band; an intermediate image processing means (2) generates a horizontal image (D2Bh) and a vertical image (D2Bv) by performing non-linear processing (2A) and high-frequency component generation (2B); an intermediate image (D2) is obtained by combining these horizontal and vertical images by performing weighted addition for each pixel and is added (3) to the input image (DIN) to obtain an enhanced output image (DOUT). Even if the input image includes a fold-over component on the high-frequency side or does not include an adequate high-frequency component, adequate image enhancement processing can be carried out.

    摘要: An image processing apparatus receives n-bit image data, carries out an α-bit bit extension, and outputs (n+α)-bit image data, where n and α are positive integers. The apparatus also performs an epsilon filtering operation that uses the additional gray levels provided by the bit extension to smooth out false edges caused by the bit extension without smoothing out real edges. The output image preserves both the smoothness of regions of gradual change and the sharpness of abrupt changes in the input image.

The data search device includes: a first flag that is provided for each of the memory areas of the memory unit, and indicate whether the data in the corresponding memory area is updated; a second flag that is provided for each group consisting of a predetermined number of the first flags, and indicates a data update state when at least one set of data in the first flags in the corresponding group indicates an updated state; and a search control unit that detects the memory area storing the data to be transmitted, by searching for the corresponding first flag after detecting the second flag.

The body includes an arcuate abutting portion. The lever has a protrusion being disposed above the abutting portion. When the lever makes a depressing movement from a position other than the predetermined position, the protrusion abuts against the abutting portion. When the lever makes a depressing movement from the predetermined position, the protrusion is received in the recess such that the basal portion presses the vertex of the contact.
