Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that implement graphical user interfaces for image editing via semantic histories. For instance, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems provide, for display within a graphical user interface of a client device, a semantic history log that includes visual representations of a first semantic state of a digital image and a second semantic state that reflects a first semantic change in the digital image from the first semantic state. Additionally, the disclosed systems detect a user selection of a visual representation of the first semantic state and provide the digital image in the first semantic state for display in response. Further, the disclosed systems modify the digital image in response to one or more user interactions with the digital image and update the semantic history log to include a visual representation reflecting the change.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that generate and implement semantic histories for digital image editing. For instance, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems determine, for a digital image, a first semantic state and a second semantic state that reflects a first semantic change in the digital image from the first semantic state. Additionally, the disclosed systems determine, for the digital image, a third semantic state that reflects a second semantic change in the digital image from the first semantic state. The disclosed systems further generate a semantic history log for the digital image, the semantic history log including a first editing branch corresponding to the second semantic state and a second editing branch corresponding the third semantic state. Based on one or more user interactions with the semantic history log, the disclosed systems modify the digital image.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media that modify two-dimensional images via scene-based editing using three-dimensional representations of the two-dimensional images. For instance, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems utilize three-dimensional representations of two-dimensional images to generate and modify shadows in the two-dimensional images according to various shadow maps. Additionally, the disclosed systems utilize three-dimensional representations of two-dimensional images to modify humans in the two-dimensional images. The disclosed systems also utilize three-dimensional representations of two-dimensional images to provide scene scale estimation via scale fields of the two-dimensional images. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems utilizes three-dimensional representations of two-dimensional images to generate and visualize 3D planar surfaces for modifying objects in two-dimensional images. The disclosed systems further use three-dimensional representations of two-dimensional images to customize focal points for the two-dimensional images.
