Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein combine computer vision with eye tracking by identifying, via computer vision, safety hazards in a video captured by a camera mounted on a pair of safety glasses, and generating an alert if a user wearing the safety glasses has not (recently) noticed the hazard. Whether the user has noticed the hazard is determined based on eye tracking information extracted from a video captured by another camera that is mounted on the safety glasses and points toward the user. As a result, safety hazards may be automatically detected and reported to the user. In addition, only those hazards that have not been (recently) noticed by the user cause an alert to be generated, so the user is not distracted with unnecessary notifications.

Abstract: A workstation enables operation of a 2D input device with a 3D interface. A cursor position engine determines the 3D position of a cursor controlled by the 2D input device as the cursor moves within a 3D scene displayed on a 3D display. The cursor position engine determines the 3D position of the cursor for a current frame of the 3D scene based on a current user viewpoint, a current mouse movement, a CD gain value, a Voronoi diagram, and an interpolation algorithm, such as the Laplacian algorithm. A CD gain engine computes CD gain optimized for the 2D input device operating with the 3D interface. The CD gain engine determines the CD gain based on specifications for the 2D input device and the 3D display. The techniques performed by the cursor position engine and the techniques performed by the CD gain engine can be performed separately or in conjunction.

Abstract: In various embodiments, a wearable object engine generates wearable objects. The wearable object engine represents a digital design of a wearable object as toolpaths. In operation, the wearable object engine generates visual guidance that indicates a portion of the design based on the toolpaths, a configuration associated a nozzle of a fabrication device, and a configuration associated with a portion of a human body. The wearable object engine causes the visual guidance to be displayed on the portion of the human body. As the nozzle moves over the portion of the human body, the nozzle extrudes fabrication material that forms the portion of the wearable object directly on the portion of the human body. Advantageously, a designer may control the nozzle to fabricate the wearable object while receiving visual guidance based on the digital design.

Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a technique for generating a three-dimensional model from a two-dimensional sketch. The technique includes receiving input indicating a set of points defining a first sketch element and a second set of points defining a second sketch element included in a sketch. The technique further includes identifying one or more design relationships between the first sketch element and the second sketch element. The technique further includes generating a computer model of the sketch that represents a structure linking the first sketch element and the second sketch element according to the one or more design relationships. The technique further includes outputting the first sketch element, the second sketch element, and the structure for display.

Abstract: A visualization engine is configured to generate a network visualization that represents the evolution of a network over time. The visualization engine generates the network visualization based on a network dataset that describes various nodes within the network, and links between those nodes, over a sequence of time intervals. Initially, the visualization engine generates a stable simulated network based on initial network data, and then subsequently animates changes to that simulated network that derive from differences between the initial network data and subsequent network data. The visualization engine visually indicates changes to different nodes in the network via color changes, size changes, and other changes to the appearance of nodes.

Abstract: A technique for capturing the output of a software application, controlled by an end-user of a client computer, on a server computer. The data may be captured from a hosted application running on the server computer, an application simulating the operations of an application used by the end-user on the client computer, or from a capture stream sent by an application on the client computer. A capture engine stores the capture data on the server computer without consuming processing or memory resources of the client computer. Furthermore, the capture data is immediately available on the server computer for sharing and publication, without consuming network bandwidth or a long upload delay.
