Abstract: Circuits, methods, and apparatus that may reduce the number of connector receptacles on an electronic device. Also, connector inserts mated with these receptacles may be easily removed in the event of an inadvertent disconnection. One example may provide a number of adapters, where each adapter may have a receptacle to accept one of a number of connector inserts. Each adapter may also have an insert portion to fit in a connector receptacle on an electronic device, where each of the number of connector inserts may fit in the same connector receptacle.
