Abstract: A remote communication system includes a portable device; and a fixed system. The fixed system includes main communication modules; and a position estimating unit configured to estimate a position of the portable device, based on an incident angle of a signal from the portable device, upon detecting the signal by antennas provided in the main communication modules. When there are two main communication modules for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the incident angle. When there is one main communication module for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the incident angle and a received radio wave intensity of the signal. When there is no main communication module for which the incident angle is known, the position of the portable device is estimated based on the received radio wave intensity.

Abstract: An operation input device includes a resistance element to generate a capacitance between an operating medium and the resistance element in response to an approach of the operating medium to the resistance element, and a power source to supply electric charge to one end and the other end of the resistance element. A first electric unit measures a first electric charge transfer amount supplied to the one end of the resistance element in response to generation of the capacitance. A second unit measures a second electric charge transfer amount supplied to the other end of the resistance element in response to generation of the capacitance. A controller is connected to the first and second units, and detects a position of the operating medium in a direction perpendicular to a surface of the resistance element based on a sum of the first and second electric charge transfer amounts.

Abstract: An operation detection device includes an electrostatic sensor accommodated inside a casing and including a first conductor and a second conductor, and a controller electrically connected to the first conductor and the second conductor, and applies a voltage to each of the first conductor and the second conductor, to measure an electrostatic capacitance of each of the first conductor and the second conductor. The first conductor is arranged in and the second conductor is not arranged in a detection region in which an operating body is detected by the electrostatic sensor. The first conductor and the second conductor are arranged in a non-detection region in which the operating body is not detected.

Abstract: A position detection system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of fixed stations 20; and a sensor unit 10 including an inertial sensor that detects movement history of a mobile body 51 and a distance sensor that detects separation distances between the mobile body 51 and the fixed stations 20. A position of the mobile body 51 is determined by detecting a first arrival position P1 obtained based on the movement history, a second arrival position P2 obtained based on the separation distances, and a relative distance L1 between the first arrival position P1 and the second arrival position P2, and by comparing a range value R1 obtained based on the movement history with the relative distance L1. The range value R1 is changed based on the movement history.

Abstract: Accelerations (Ax, Ay, Az) in directions along (X′, Y′, Z′) detected by an acceleration sensor 10 are converted, based on a correction angle γ, which is an angle between a first detection axis X′ and a first posture axis X, into accelerations (Bx By, Bz) in directions along three posture axes (X, Y, Z). A pitch angle α and a roll angle β, which indicate a posture of a portion to which the wearable device is attached, are calculated based on the accelerations (Bx By, Bz) obtained by the conversion based on the correction angle γ.

Abstract: In order to provide a receiver capable of accurately determining a phase difference of I/Q signals, a receiver includes a section detector configured to detect a section between a rising and a falling of a phase based on the rising and the falling of the phase represented by I/Q signals generated based on an advertisement packet transmitted from a transmitter, and a section setting unit configured to identify, within the section between the rising and the falling of the phase, a period in which a first variation amount of the phase is equal to or less than a first predetermined amount, and use the identified period as a section for detecting the phase of the I/Q signals. The section detector detects the rising when a first phase is smaller than a last phase among a plurality of phases acquired by sampling the phases.

In the tactile sensation presenting device, the vibration information, which is presented by the vibrating element, is transmitted to the warmth/coldness presenting element, and a tactile sensation, which includes the warm/cold information and the vibration information, is presented to the presentation area.
