Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for localization in an industrial wireless sensor network by identifying a sensor node of a field device for localization, and determining the location information of the sensor node associated with the field device. The determined location information is stored in the field device, in one or more modules of the wireless network management component, and/or an operator portal. Operation can be indicated upon the joining of the field device into the network or during the commissioning of the industrial wireless sensor.
