Abstract:
The present invention relates to a stereoscopic content service system and method, and more particularly to a stereoscopic content service system and method which defines a Scene Descriptor (SD) including information required for stereoscopic contents, displays the stereoscopic contents based on the information of the defined SD, and thereby may perform a two-dimension (2D)/three-dimension (3D) display conversion through user interaction and display a stereoscopic text based on information about a left and right text and disparity information.
Abstract:
A water ring encoding apparatus configured to process an initial data set, such as a video image frame, is disclosed. The water ring encoding apparatus includes a a scanner and an encoder. The initial data set is organized with at least one initial origin enveloped by a plurality of nested initial environs successively surrounding each other in the initial data set. The scanner is configured to write a portion of the data from the initial data set into a scanned data string by starting at the RC grouping corresponding to the initial origin (initial water ring (0)) and by sequentially progressing outwardly from the family of RC groupings corresponding to the nearest nested initial environ (initial water ring (1)) towards the family of RC groupings corresponding to a furthest nested initial environ (initial water ring (n)). The encoder is configured to encode the scanned data string into an encoded data string.
Abstract:
A non-real time stereoscopic video service method and apparatus are provided. The non-real time stereoscopic video service method performed by a reception apparatus, including: extracting a program association table (PAT) from a received transport stream (TS) and analyzing the same; extracting a program map table (PMT) corresponding to a program selected by a user from the PAT and analyzing the same; extracting a stereoscopic video service descriptor from the PMT and analyzing the same; generating frame and/or time information of an image to be reproduced according to the analysis of the stereoscopic video service descriptor; and reproducing an image by synchronizing a reference image and a supplementary image based on the generated frame and/or time information.
Abstract:
A method of storing 3D image data in a recording medium includes: loading, in a predetermined file type field, image type information indicating either one of a single stereoscopic image or a compound image including a monoscopic image and a stereoscopic image; loading, in a predetermined image configuration information container field, scene descriptor information indicating temporal and spatial relations between a plurality of media objects included in the three-dimensional image, object configuration information indicating attributes of each media object of said plurality of media objects and a configuration relation between encoded streams of the plurality of media objects, configuration information of the encoded streams; loading in an image data container field media data of an image to be stored; and loading, in a meta container field, metadata including information for playing the 3D image data.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of storing scene comprising a three-dimensional image, which has been generated by converting an image input an apparatus supporting photographing of the three-dimensional image, into a recording medium. The method includes: loading, in a predetermined file type field, image type information indicating one of a single stereoscopic image and a synthetic image including a monoscopic image and a stereoscopic image; loading, in a configurative information container field, scene descriptor information indicating temporal and spatial relations between a plurality of media objects included in the three-dimensional image, object configurative information indicating object attributes of each media object of said plurality of media objects and a configurative relation between encoded streams of each of the media objects of said plurality, configurative information of the encoded streams, first metadata between the plurality of media objects, and second metadata between each media object of the plurality and the encoded stream thereof, and loading, in a media data container field, a bit stream of each media object included in the three-dimensional image, a bit stream for the first metadata, and a bit stream for the second metadata.
