    摘要: In a bearing assembly for a roll the journal of the roll is supported radially by roller bearings mounted in a stationary support structure. The thrust bearing for the assembly includes a pair of outer rings mounted co-axially at the end of the journal, and a central ring therebetween and supported by the support structure. The rings define a pair of races for tapered roller bearings. The surfaces of the central disk extend normal to the axis of the journal. A support for the central ring includes a bolt co-axial with the journal and extending into a recess at the end of the journal. Apertures are provided in the structure to permit the flow of cooling air at the end of the assembly.

    摘要: A rolling bearing arrangement for supporting a journal of a work roll has two cylindrical rolling bearings for carrying radial loads and an inclined rolling bearing for carrying axial loads arranged between the cylindrical rolling bearings. The rows of rolling bodies of the inclined rolling bearing have radially inwardly directed lines of load transmission and are displaceable on at least one of the respective raceways in both directions transverse to the rolling direction. The end surfaces of the inner ring of the inclined rolling bearing are slidably displaceable in a substantially radial direction on the opposing end surfaces of the inner rings of the cylindrical rolling bearings. The radial play between the inner ring of the inclined rolling bearing and the journal is greater than the radial play between the inner rings of the cylindrical rolling bearings and the journal.

    摘要: A sealed four-row tapered roller bearing, useable for working rolls of roll stands, is provided with axial multipart inner and outer races and tapered rollers arranged between the bearing races, sealing of the seat of the outer race parts in the housing being preferably effected by O-rings which are arranged in annular grooves of the outer race parts. The bearing chamber is sealed axially outward by sealing rings which are fastened in annular grooves in the bore of the outer race parts and rest with sealing lips on surfaces of the inner race, the separating line between the front faces of the inner races being sealed off by a sealing ring which rests on the inner races. The bearing chamber of the four-row tapered roller bearing is protected against the penetration of dirt and the tapered roller bearing can easily be assembled and disassembled as a result of the bore of the sealing ring being provided with continuous ribs which delimit at least one chamber for receiving lubricant, the sealing ring being arranged and centered on preferably cylindrical surfaces of inner race prolongations facing one another.
