Abstract: A method of treating or inhibiting a kidney disorder can include administering a therapeutically effective amount of the ASARM peptide to provide a treatment for the kidney disorder (treat disease) and/or inhibit development of the kidney disorder (prophylactic). The kidney disorder can be selected from the group consisting of chronic kidney disease mineral bone disorder (CKD-MBD), calciphylaxis, nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF), end stage renal disease, and combinations thereof. The therapy can include inhibiting vascular calcification (VC), hard tissue calcification, soft tissue calcification, mineralization, or combinations thereof in the subject with the ASARM peptide. A method of inhibiting mineralization can include administering a therapeutically effective amount of the ASARM peptide to provide a treatment for inhibit mineralization in the subject. A method of treating hyperphosphatemia can include administering a therapeutically effective amount of the ASARM peptide to a subject to provide a treatment for hyperphosphatemia.

Abstract: Aerial vehicles, their structures and methods of locomotion are described. An aerial vehicle may include a fuselage having an x-axis, a plurality of flexible structures emanating from the fuselage that take the form of a feather, wing and/or tentacle, at least one motor, and at least one propeller driven by one or more motors. Each flexible structure may extend from a fuselage in any direction and are used to enhance the observability of the aircraft by moving and/or oscillating within a frequency band and at a magnitude that is more easily observed by and catches the human eye.

Abstract: A method of treating amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is provided to extend life expectancy in a subject. The method can include administering the ketamine to a subject having ALS such that the subject has an extended life expectancy compared to life expectancy of the subject prior to being administered the ketamine. The extended life expectancy is determined by the subject having a first progression rate of ALS prior to being administered ketamine and a second progression rate of ALS after being administered ketamine. The first progression rate is faster than the second progression rate such that the progression of ALS in the subject is slowed by the ketamine.

Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to aerial vehicles that may convert from hover-mode to missile-mode flight and back via body tilt for efficient flight and can strike wires such that neither the wires nor the aircraft are damaged, and divergence is prevented. This includes an aerial vehicle having an elongate fuselage having a nose tip, a plurality of engines connected to the fuselage, and at least three protective members connected substantially near the nose tip of the fuselage longitudinally beyond the plurality of engines.
