摘要: A mobile source of electricity is converted from a transportation mode to an operational mode. A turbine disposed on the mobile source of electricity is operated to generate electricity in the operational mode. A first control valve is operated to feed a cooling agent from a cooling agent source into a heat transfer apparatus disposed in an air intake flow path of the turbine to cool intake air. A second control valve is operated to vent from the heat transfer apparatus, the cooling agent that is heated by absorbing heat from the intake air flowing through the air intake flow path. A controller controls the first and second control valves to maintain the cooling agent having predetermined properties in the heat transfer apparatus.

摘要: The present invention provides a method and system for providing on-site electrical power to a fracturing operation, and an electrically powered fracturing system. Natural gas can be used to drive a turbine generator in the production of electrical power. A scalable, electrically powered fracturing fleet is provided to pump fluids for the fracturing operation, obviating the need for a constant supply of diesel fuel to the site and reducing the site footprint and infrastructure required for the fracturing operation, when compared with conventional systems.

摘要: Providing electric power distribution for fracturing operations comprising receiving, at a transport, electric power from a mobile source of electricity at a first voltage level and supplying, from the transport, the electric power to a fracturing pump transport at the first voltage level using only a first, single cable connection. The first voltage level falls within a range of 1,000 V to 35 kilovolts. The transport also supplies electric power to a second transport at the first voltage level using only a second, single cable connection.

摘要: A power generation transport includes a gas turbine, an inlet plenum coupled to an intake of the gas turbine, a generator driven by the gas turbine, and an air intake and exhaust module including an air inlet filter housing, an intake air duct coupled to the housing at a first end and to the inlet plenum at a second end, and an exhaust collector coupled to an exhaust of the gas turbine. The transport further includes at least one base frame. The frame mounts and aligns the gas turbine, the inlet plenum, the generator, and the air intake and exhaust module. The intake air duct is mounted on the base frame so as to be disposed underneath the gas turbine, and extend along the base frame from an exhaust end side of the gas turbine to an intake end side, in a longitudinal direction of the power generation transport.

A mobile substation includes at least two transformer units that are operatively coupled to the utility electric grid in a parallel orientation, wherein the transformer units are capable of accessing power from the utility electric grid and stepping down the power for delivery to a switchgear. An electric motor is operatively coupled to a hydraulic fracturing pump and operatively controlled by a variable frequency drive. At least one open air relay cable is operatively coupled between the switchgear and the electric motor and capable of delivering power to the electric motor.

摘要: A first fracturing pump is selectively engaged or disengaged a from an electric prime mover based on operation of a first lever by a user. The first lever, the electric prime mover, and the first fracturing pump are mounted on a mobile transport. A second fracturing pump is selectively engaged or disengaged a from the electric prime mover based on operation of a second lever by the user. The second lever is also mounted on the mobile transport. The electric prime mover is operable to drive one of the first and second fracturing pumps that is engaged with the electric prime mover while not driving the other of the first and second fracturing pumps that is disengaged from the electric prime mover by operation of a corresponding one of the first and second levers.
