Abstract:
During operation a check is made, by utilizing a tuning function of tuning communication parameters, if communication parameters used for wireless communication with another movable unit are suitable. When the communication parameters are found to be unsuitable, new communication parameters are used for communication. Thus, the communication performance of the movable unit is improved to significantly reduce the steps to select the optimum communication parameters and permits the communication parameter selection while confirming the reliability of each communication parameter.
Abstract:
A color image displaying method in which n of independent combinations of bit maps and CLUTs are prepared from data of n (n being a natural number) of independent original images, composite bit maps are prepared respectively by composing color codes ones of the pixels of the n of bit map at the same display position, a composite CLUT is prepared by composing the n of CLUTs, the composite bit map is displayed with use of the composite CLUT, whereby such image effect displays as fade-in, fade-out, cross fade, and glowing can be realized with respect to the plurality of images while preventing the increase of a bit map capacity and a display circuit size.
Abstract:
A process is provided for producing petroleum coke that is high in strength and sufficiently small in thermal expansion coefficient and sufficiently suppressed from puffing. The process includes coking a feedstock containing a first heavy oil having a sulfur content of 1.0 percent by mass or less, a nitrogen content of 0.5 percent by mass or less, and an aromatic index of 0.1 or greater, produced by hydrodesulfurizing a heavy oil with a sulfur content of 1 percent by mass or more under conditions (1) where the total pressure is 10 MPa or greater and less than 16 MPa and the hydrogen partial pressure is 5 MPa or greater and 16 MPa or less or conditions (2) where the total pressure is 20 MPa or greater and 25 MPa or less and the hydrogen partial pressure is greater than 20 MPa and 25 MPa or less, and a second heavy oil with an aromatic index of 0.3 or greater and an initial boiling point of 150° C. or higher.
Abstract:
A CDMA demodulator is disclosed, which comprises an AGC loop (13 to 20) including a IF signal converter (12) for converting a spread spectrum signal to an IF signal and an AGC amplifier (13) for variable gain amplifying the IF signal with a control voltage. The AGC loop also includes a power level calculating unit (17) for calculating the level of full power in the band of a channel under reception. Desirably, the power level calculating unit (17) starts the power level calculation from an instant corresponding to the forefront of slot. Desirably, the AGC loop further includes a control unit (18), which calculates control time based on the result of calculation in the power level calculating unit and feeds out a control voltage by calculating and controlling the control timing based on control amount. The power level calculating unit may start the power level calculation from an intermediate part of slot instead of the forefront thereof.
Abstract:
A mobile telephone capable of calling using a first calling system such as a personal handyphone system of being hand-off disabling at a moving speed more than the predetermined moving speed of the mobile telephone and a second calling system such as a personal digital cellular system of being hand-off enabling irrespective of the predetermined moving speed. A speed detector detects the moving speed of the mobile telephone itself, and a record holder stores the moving speed for a past predetermined time, detected by the speed detector. A central processing unit controls the calling using the first and second calling systems on the basis of the moving speed for the past predetermined time, resulting in improving reliability of line connection during moving, further improving using efficiency of the mobile telephone, and carrying out a more precise detection of a moving speed of the mobile telephone.
Abstract:
An interactive recording/reproducing medium including: image data; image reproduction control data which defines an operation instruction received from operation input apparatus and a reproduction procedure for the image data in correlation with each other, the operation input apparatus performing a reproducing operation for the image data in an interactive manner; image related data related to the contents of the image data; and relation defining information which defines the relation between the image related data and the image data. More particularly, an interactive recording/reproducing system which is interactively responsive to operations made by a user, which defines information such as text data (e.g., ASCII text) in association with an image and reproduces the text data simultaneously with reproduction of the image. An optical disk medium comprises a Video-CD recording area for recording image data (e.g. dynamic images, static images, voice) which conform to a basic Video-CD standard, a PC data recording area for recording text data associated with the image data, and a reproduction application recording area for recording a program to effect reproduction using a PC (personal computer). A Video-CD reproducing system and a PC can be alternatively used to perform reproduction using a content of the optical disk medium.
Abstract:
An interleaved data recording area for recording interleaved file data and a control program record area for recording a program to control the reproduction of the data are provided in an information recording medium, and the interleaved data record area is arranged succeeding the control program record area. Information of a transfer/output destination of the reproduced file data is included in the control program so that a plurality of interleaved and stored file data are continuously reproduced without retrieving control data.
Abstract:
A relay station comprises an emergency information detection unit for detecting an emergency information broadcasting flag in the digital broadcasting TMCC signal transmitted from the center station; a replacement data creation unit for issuing an instruction for creating replacement contents and replacing the data when emergency information is multiplexed in the TS; and a time synchronization unit for executing time synchronization between the TS created by the data replacement and the TS before the data replacement. On a receiving terminal, the replaced data broadcasting contents can be received while prefectural broadcasting video and audio contents are continuously received.
