    摘要: A gate valve apparatus comprising an elastic seal member inserted into a pipe, a pressure member for elastically deforming the elastic seal member under pressure, a drive shaft for moving the pressure member along the direction of insertion, a movable member for keeping the elastic seal member in pressure contact with the inner wall surface of the pipe, and a support member for supporting the elastic seal member. The elastic seal member is elastically deformed and kept in close contact with the inner wall surface of the pipe thereby to gate the flow path in the pipe. The elastic seal member includes a through hole which is formed nearer to the forward end portion along the direction of insertion than the guide hole of the support member and by way of which the forward end portion of the drive shaft can be inserted. With the movement of the pressure member along the direction of insertion, the first inclined portion and the second inclined portion act to bring the elastic seal member into pressure contact with the inner wall surface of the pipe.

    摘要: A pipe joint is provided with a pressing ring, a pipe or a pipe joint body having a containing section, a tightening element, and a packing ring compressed by being pressed by the pressing ring moved by the operation of the tightening element. The packing ring includes a base section fitted and mounted in the containing section at a rear thereof, a seal section contained within the containing section at a front thereof, and a connection section which connects the base section and the seal section and has a cutout groove. When the packing ring positioned by fitting and mounting the base section in the containing section at the rear thereof is subjected to pressing by the pressing ring, the seal section is bent into the cutout groove and is deformed, and compression caused by the deformation creates a sealed state.

    摘要: A pipe joint is provided with a pressing ring, a pipe or a pipe joint body which having a containing section, a tightening element, and a packing ring compressed by being pressed by the pressing ring moved by the operation of the tightening element. The packing ring includes a base section fitted and mounted in the containing section at a rear thereof, a seal section contained within the containing section at a front thereof, and a connection section which connects the base section and the seal section and has a cutout groove. When the packing ring positioned by fitting and mounting the base section in the containing section at the rear thereof is subjected to pressing by the pressing ring, the seal section is bent into the cutout groove and is deformed, and compression caused by the deformation creates a sealed state.

    摘要: An external cover pipe is adapted to be fixedly fitted over a fluid transport pipe made of synthetic resin via an elastic seal. The cover pipe includes a plurality of split pipe members divided in the peripheral direction of the pipe which cooperate to compress the elastic seal in association with a fastening operation of a fastener for fastening and joining together the split pipe members disposed adjacent each other in the peripheral direction. Each split pipe member includes, in an inner peripheral face thereof, a deformation limiting face for coming into contact with an outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe in association with the fastening operation of the fastener so as to limit radial deformation of the fluid transport pipe. This deformation limiting face is provided at a portion in the inner peripheral face of the split pipe member located at a position axially offset toward an extreme axial end of the external cover pipe away from a portion thereof where the elastic seal is attached.

    摘要: A construction for fixing a pipe joint is disclosed. The construction includes a pipe joint body within which a fluid transport pipe is connected and engaged in a sealed state via an elastic seal, a press ring fitted on the fluid transport pipe, the press ring being peripherally divided to provide a plurality of press-ring segments, a fastener for fasting each press-ring segment to a connecting portion of the pipe joint body along a pipe axis direction, and a retainer member interposed between an outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe and an inner peripheral face of the press ring, the retainer member being capable of radially biting into the outer peripheral face of the fluid transport pipe. A cam surface formed in the inner peripheral face of the press ring is operable to reduce the retainer member radially with a relative movement between the pipe joint body and the press ring along the pipe axis direction in association with a fastening operation by the fastener. The pipe joint body and each press-ring segment include, at respective portions thereof opposed to each other along the pipe axis direction, an engaging recess and an engaging projection which come into engagement with each other along the pipe axis direction in association with the fastening operation by the fastener so as to restrict a relative radial displacement between the pipe joint body and each press-ring segment.
