    摘要: A method and devices are provided to allow reducing interferences occurring in adjacent wireless communication networks. When a subscriber device experiences interferences resulting from the operation of an adjacent wireless network, it transmits an adjustment signal which serves as a request for adjustment, to the base station operative at the adjacent wireless communication network. The adjacent base station that receives the adjustment signal retrieves adjustment information therefrom, and based on the retrieved information will determine whether it should effect a change in its transmission that would result in reducing the interferences experienced at the subscriber device sending the adjustment signal.

The method includes (i) for two or more of the plurality of tiles, carrying out a plurality of mathematical correlations for one or more of the plurality of tiles but less than all of the plurality of tiles products between subcarriers, wherein at least one of the plurality of products is carried out between non-adjacent subcarriers associated with one of the two or more of the plurality of tiles; (ii) summing the results of the correlations products, thereby obtaining mathematical correlations that make up summed results; and (iii) based on the summed results, detecting a code characterizing the ranging signal and/or estimating the timing offset of the ranging signal.

    摘要: A method for carrying out a handover of servicing a mobile terminal from a currently serving base station to another base station in a cellular network, comprising the following steps. The currently serving base transmits information associated with the mobile terminal to one or more of its neighboring base stations. The neighboring station(s) respond by providing the serving base station with information related to the quality at which they are able to receive communications from the mobile terminal. Based on the responses received from the neighboring base stations, the serving base station selects which of its neighboring base stations will be the target base station for the mobile terminal. Upon selecting the target base station, a handover procedure is carried out, following which, the mobile terminal will receive and transmit communications via that target base station.

    摘要: There is provided a method and devices for dynamically controlling transmission of communications in a wireless network, which comprises a managing entity and a managed entity that communicate which each other. The managed entity transmits updating information that includes indications of current resources available thereat and/or indications that relate to the reception of communications transmitted by the managing entity. A reporting rate for transmitting the updating information by the managed entity to the managing entity is then determined, and based on the reporting rate that has been determined—modifying, if required, parameters associated with the wireless link extending between the two entities so as to affect changes in the operating conditions at one or both of these entities.

    摘要: A method of implementing OFDMA systems with enhanced preamble properties is presented. The transmit power is boosted during a preamble transmission, by utilizing preambles with a low Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) property, as opposed to higher PAPR during the data portion of the transmission. Further, sets of preambles satisfying good PAPR properties in OFDMA systems are presented. The preambles satisfy a low Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) property for numerous subsets of the usable subcarrier set. A method for generating a hierarchical set of preambles for OFDMA communication systems is described. The method hinges on the good PAPR properties of Golay's complementary sequences, and on hierarchical construction methods of larger complementary sequences out of smaller ones.
