    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed including a tri-layer orthotic system having a heel portion and a forefoot portion to support respective heel and forefoot portions of a foot through at least a portion of a gait cycle. The tri-layer orthotic system can include an upper layer suspended over a mid-layer and a base layer to create a rear spring section, a mid-spring section, and a front spring section. A distal toe portion of the mid-layer can form the forefoot portion of the tri-layer orthotic system and a heel upper layer portion of the upper layer can form the heel portion of tri-layer orthotic system.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for biomechanical analysis of a gait cycle of a user, including a multi-layered structure including a base layer, a mid-layer, and an upper layer, at least one sensor integrated with the orthotic system capable of detecting movement and pressure changes during the gait cycle of the user, and a processing unit in communication with the at least one sensor configured to receive and analyze sensor data, compare the analyzed sensor data against a plurality of foot pathologies, and provide visual feedback for display on a display screen based on the comparison to inform adjustments for optimizing foot alignment and motion, wherein the orthotic system includes one or more adjustment features to provide manual adjustment to the foot during the gait cycle for therapeutic corrections, thereby enhancing mobility and reducing discomfort for the user.

    Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed including a tri-layer orthotic comprising an upper layer, a base layer, and a mid layer configured to suspend the upper layer over the base layer. A first receptacle can receive and couple the upper layer to the mid layer. A second receptacle can receive and couple the base layer to the mid layer. A hybrid orthotic system can include a support coupled to the upper layer of the tri-layer orthotic configured to secure a lower leg portion of a patient to the upper layer. An orthotic system can include a tuning element configured to couple to at least one of the upper layer, the base layer, or the mid layer. The orthotic system can include a tray for holding the tuning element prior to coupling the tuning element to the tri-layer orthotic.

One tri-layer system includes a base layer; a mid-layer, and an upper layer. The upper layer is joined to the mid-layer and the mid-layer is joined to the base layer. The coupling of the base layer, the mid-layer and the upper layer create a rear spring section, a mid-spring section and a front spring section in which the upper layer is suspended over the mid-layer and the heel portion is suspended on the proximal heel end of the base layer.
