Abstract: A carbon brush holder for a commutator motor which a carbon brush is replaceably installed in and which can facilitate assembling of the carbon brush holder and the carbon brush, and easily dissipate heat produced from the carbon brush, enhancing the function of the carbon brush. The carbon brush holder for a commutator motor used for as a housing of a carbon brush connected to a brush terminal via a flexible copper conductor reduces frictional contacts of side surfaces of the carbon brush and inside surfaces of the brush holder body which has no cartridge-formed conductive insert, and prohibits electric short phenomena therebetween. Thus, the generation of heat is reduced.
