A light emitting element provided for each of operation elements of a keyboard is turned on to progress of performance of the item of melody data including a particular melody part for guiding operation of a corresponding operation element. All the delayed items of melody data each including a different melody part excluding an item of melody data including a particular melody part are fed along with performance data produced by the performer's performance to an external sound source to produce a musical sound. In other words, the performer can beforehand recognize an operation element to be operated, and production of a musical sound produced by the performer's performance is synchronized with production of musical sounds produced by melody data including other parts.

    摘要: When a plurality of effects are simultaneously applied to an input audio signal, a plurality of effect-algorithms each for applying solely an effect to the input signal are stored in a memory, and a plurality of combination-algorithms or combination-data which represent combinations of the effects and orders in which effects are applied to the input audio signal are stored in the memory. When one of the combination-algorithms or the combination-data is selected, effect-algorithms included in the selected combination-algorithm or combination-data are selectively read out from the memory. A program for applying effects in a predetermined combination and order is written by CPU based on the read out effect-algorithms and combination-algorithm or combination-data. Receiving the program, DSP successively applies effects to the input audio signal in accordance with the program. As a result, the present effector needs less memory capacity than the conventional effector in which a number of programs consisting of combinations of effect-algorithms are previously stored. A multi-effector comprised of a connection of a digital effect adding device and an analog effect adding device, is provided with a memory having a plurality of memory areas for storing audio signals. An input audio signal, an input signal to the analog effect adding device and an output signal of the digital effect adding device are stored in respective memory areas of the memory. Whether either of input signals is supplied to the digital effect adding device or whether the output signal of the digital effect adding device is input to the analog effect adding device or the output signal is output as a final signal are decided by operation of an externally operated switch. In this way, the order in which effects are applied can be altered independently of the connection of the above two effect adding devices.

    摘要: An electronic musical instrument having a function of selecting a musical tone parameter just before, or after during a musical performance is provided. The instrument has a first manually operable element such as a tremolo arm deflectably mounted on the main body of the instrument and positioned adjacent to stretched strings, and a second manually operable element (e.g., push button) attached to the first operational element. In one embodiment, the first element serves as a controller for varying a first musical parameter (e.g., pitch modulation) while the second element functions as another controller for varying a second, different musical parameter (e.g., tone color). In another embodiment, the second element serves as a variable function assignor for the first element. Depending on the function assigning of the first element, the second element provides a variable parameter controller (e.g., tremolo, vibrato). In either case a player can select the musical tone parameter at hand speedily and surely without any substantial interruption of playing the strings, whereby the music performance will be enriched and diversified.

When event data contained in the read melody data represents a key to be depressed for a melody performance, the key represented by the event data is indicated to a performer. When the performer does not depress the key even when a timing when the key is to be depressed has passed, reading the melody data is stopped until the key is depressed. When the performer depresses the key before the timing when the key is to be depressed, relevant event contained in the melody data to be read out in a time period between the time when the key was actuated and the time when the timing at which the key is to be depressed comes is rapidly read out. When the event data rapidly read out contains volume control event data, the processing of the event data is changed such that the volume of the musical sound to be produced is minimized.
