摘要: A hologram which contains the record of a parallel bar-shaped pattern, like a bar code pattern, and which can be read with a single light-receiving element of simple structure with fewer restrictions on the installation position of the light-receiving element and with a minimal lowering in the read accuracy even if the light-receiving element is disposed a little out-of-position. Also disclosed is a method of reading such a hologram. A hologram is recorded in a region that extends in a direction intersecting each bar of a reconstructed bar-shaped pattern and that is not shorter than the length of the reconstructed bar-shaped pattern at least in the above-described direction. Alternatively, the hologram is recorded in a stripe region elongated at the above-described direction. The hologram is read by illuminating it with a reconstructing light beam of small diameter which illuminates only a limited portion of the recording region, receiving diffracted light from the hologram with a single light-receiving element at a position which is coincident with an imagery position where an image of the bar-shaped pattern is formed, or closer to the hologram than imagery position, and at which beams of diffracted light from the hologram are separate from each other, and moving the hologram relative to the reconstructing light beam and the single light-receiving element in a direction intersecting each bar of the reconstructed bar-shaped pattern.

摘要: An image display apparatus for displaying a plurality of objects in a space using a simplified and efficient structure. The apparatus includes a first storing section having areas for scanning lines, and for each scanning line, has an area that stores the object numbers of the objects having that scanning line as the display start scanning line for the objects. In addition, other sections store a display end scanning line and an object information set for each of the objects. A display end determining section reads the object numbers of the current scanning line, and reads the display end scanning line for the objects of the read object numbers to determine whether the current scanning line is the display end scanning line for these objects. For each such object, if the current scanning line is the display end scanning line for an object, then no operation is performed; while if the current scanning line is not the display end scanning line, then the display end determining section adds the read object number to the area in the first storing section that stores the object numbers of the next scanning line. In addition, a display data generating section generates a display image for the current scanning line, and a display displays the display image.

摘要: A rotated pattern generating system includes at least a X-direction straight line generator adapted to calculate, a difference in X- and Y-directions between the position of a given dot on a destination coordinate and a position of the next dot to be coordinate transformed. The difference is determined by the difference on the source coordinate between the given dot and the next dot to be transformed and a required rotational angle .theta.. The system further comprises a detector connected to the X-direction straight line generator for discriminating whether or not a residual pattern occurs each time the X-direction straight line generator generates an output, and a dot generator responsive to the output of the detector to generate, when a dot lack is discriminated on the position of the residual pattern the same dot information as that of the dot adjacent to the residual pattern position in the destination coordinate.

摘要: Provided are silicone microparticles including 100 parts by mass of silicone elastomer spherical microparticles having a volume average particle diameter within a range from 0.1 to 100 μm, and 0.5 to 25 parts by mass of a polyorganosilsesquioxane that coats the surface of the silicone elastomer spherical microparticles, in which the silicone elastomer is capable of absorbing not less than 200 parts by mass of a polymethylsiloxane having a viscosity at 25° C. of not more than 10 mm2/s per 100 parts by mass of the silicone elastomer. These silicone microparticles are capable of absorbing a large amount of the above types of polymethylsiloxanes, which represent low-viscosity silicones, and can therefore suppress the greasiness, stickiness, and oily film feeling of cosmetic materials containing this type of polymethylsiloxane. The silicone microparticles can be produced by hydrolyzing and condensing an organotrialkoxysilane in a water medium, in the presence of the above silicone elastomer spherical microparticles and an alkaline material, thereby coating the surface of the silicone elastomer spherical microparticles with a polyorganosilsesquioxane.

摘要: The invention discloses an aqueous slurry of globular particles of a silicone-based composite elastomer consisting of titanium dioxide particles and a crosslinked silicone elastomer as the matrix for the titanium dioxide particles. The aqueous dispersion comprises from 10 to 60% of the globular elastomer particles of 0.1 to 100 &mgr;m diameter, from 0.1 to 30% by weight of a surfactant which is preferably an anionic surfactant such as a salt of a dialkyl sulfosuccinate and the balance of water. The aqueous dispersion of the globular elastomer particles is quite satisfactory as an ultraviolet-shielding adjuvant in water-base cosmetic or toiletry preparations in respect of good stability of dispersion, high ultraviolet-shielding power and surface lubricity.
