Abstract: A process for removing finishing agents containing silicone oil from textile substrates in an aqueous medium free of halogenated hydrocarbons, wherein the removing agent is a composition containing, as an essential ingredient, a surfactant carrying cationic groups on the surfactant framework structure, and which may also contain acids, non-ionic surfactants, water-soluble non-ionic polymers and solvents (free of halogenated hydrocarbons).
