Abstract:
Methods and systems provide and utilize a transceiver-based electronic payment device to consumers in an arrangement which allows for convenient carrying of the device and payment using the device.
Abstract:
The invention provides various systems and methods for implementing a presentation instrument bookmark. The presentation instrument may include a first panel. The first panel may include an account identifying device configured to identify an account associated with the presentation instrument. The presentation instrument may also include a second panel sandwiched with the first panel. The second panel may include a thumb hole cutout configured to allow the presentation instrument to be used as a bookmark.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for determining a least cost transaction scheme for a merchant is provided according to one embodiment of the invention. The least cost transaction scheme may be determined at a point of sale device or at a host computer system that communicates with a point of sale device. The least cost transaction scheme may depend on a standard industrial classification (SIC) code associated with the merchant and a transaction amount. In one embodiment the transaction amount and merchant ID is sent to a host computer system. Based on the merchant ID and the transaction amount the host computer system determines a fees for a plurality of transaction schemes. From the plurality of transaction schemes, a least cost transaction scheme is selected and a user is prompted to use the least cost transaction scheme to tender the transaction.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to transaction instruments with enhanced expiration date and/or security personal identification number (PIN) generation. The enhanced security PIN generation may be usefully in connection with account information associated with the transaction instrument to verify and/or authenticate the transaction instrument. In certain aspects, the security PIN may be used in connection with account information associated with the transaction information to authenticate the transaction instrument via a synchronization-based authentication process or similar process. By way of example, the account information may be used as a static identifier to indicate identity of the transaction instrument, and the security PIN may be used to authenticate the identity of the transaction instrument.
Abstract:
Embodiments include a method for hosting secure content between a host service and a client device. One example includes causing display of a graphical user interface on a browser application executing on the client device where the user interface includes a first tab associated with a first session between the browser application and the host service using a first account associated with a user and a second tab associated with a second session between the browser application and the host service using a second account associated with the user. In response to a user selection of the second tab while the first tab is displayed, receiving the first session token and a temporary account identifier, identifying a second token, using the temporary account identifier, and causing the browser application to display second secure content within the second tab associated with the second session.

Abstract:
Three-piece clip comprises two plier-like lever members and a slat-like core member, all fabricated from flat sheet metal or plastic stock. The lever members have handle and jaw portions respectively, rearwardly and forwardly of a pivoted joint and are relatively movable between opened and closed positions in which a gap defined by lips of the jaw portions and controlling access to a hook space inside is enlarged and reduced. The core member, with a section of flexible sheeting material wrapped around it is inserted into the hook space between the jaw members in opened position and then closed by squeezing the handle portions together. Detent means between the rearward ends of the handle portions hold the clip in closed position. The detent means comprises a hook on the rearward end of one of the handle portions engaging the rearward end of the other handle portion. The handle portions with the hook is bowed to impart longitudinal springiness to it. The pivotal joint is a rockable connection between the two lever members provided by the handle portion of one lever member inserted through a slot in an intermediate portion of the other and held by a tang.
