摘要： The power supply device of the present invention supplies power individually to a plurality of disk drives by rendering a plurality of DC/DC converters redundant. One redundant power supply substrate is assigned to a plurality of normal power supply substrates. One redundant power supply substrate supports the outputs of a plurality of normal power supply substrates. The main DC/DC converters in the normal power supply substrate correspond with the subgroups on a one-for-one basis. The secondary DC/DC converters in the redundant power supply substrate each correspond with all of the respective subgroups and are able to supply power to a predetermined single disk drive among the respective disk drives in the subgroups for each of the subgroups.

This storage apparatus has a plurality of hard disks separately disposed in groups of eight; a plurality of power supply units for supplying power to each of the eight hard disks belonging to each group; and a redundant power supply unit connected in parallel with each power supply unit, wherein power is supplied from the redundant power supply unit to the eight hard disks connected to the power supply unit subject to a malfunction during such malfunction among the plurality of power supply units.

摘要： A disk array device can carry out battery backup including a destage process of data by a battery mounted in a case body of the disk array device and can enhance instantaneous power failure durability to an instantaneous power failure. A logic box mounts a channel controlling unit, a disk controlling unit, a cache memory and a switch; and a hard disk box mounts a plurality of memory devices. A battery box mounts a nickel hydrogen battery for supplying a backup power source at the time of a power failure and is disposed at a lower portion of each case body including the logic box and the hard disk box. The nickel hydrogen battery of the battery box is cooled through natural convection of air created inside the case body by a fan for cooling each of the logic box and the hard disk box.

When operating normally, each of the normal power supply units supplies power via a normal path to each of the load groups. One redundant power supply unit is provided for a plurality of normal power supply units. When any of the normal power supply units fail, the redundant power supply unit continues to supply power to the load group via the redundant path. A diode for connecting the redundant path to the normal path is provided in each normal power supply unit and the redundant paths that are routed through the respective normal power supply units are connected so as to intersect one another between the normal power supply units.

摘要： A system and method for customer satisfaction survey for a customer service provided over a telephone network. A customer initiates a telephone call to a customer service number provided by a company. The company's PBX receives the call and transfers it to a computer telephony integration (CTI) server for dynamically assigning an available customer service representative to the call. During the course of a call, the CTI server monitors the call for push-tones transmitted by the caller. Receipt of a push-tone during the conversation is assumed to be an indication of the customer's satisfaction associated with the call at the time the push-tone was transmitted. The CTI server also presents questions to the customer at the end of the call but prior to hangup to receive additional feedback about the customer's satisfaction about the call. The gathered information is stored as customer satisfaction data for later analysis by an analysis computer.
