Abstract: Display assemblies with enhanced fan control are disclosed. An electronic display is located within a housing. A controller receives readings from sensors located at an airflow pathway extending within the housing and determines which of the readings is, relatively, furthest from a predetermined, associated parameter. The controller drives fans located at the airflow pathway based on the relatively furthest one of the readings in accordance with a control scheme including reading-dependent, preprogrammed operating parameters for the fans.

Abstract: A display assembly with improved sightlines is disclosed. The display assembly includes a framework, an electronic display subassembly connected to the framework at an elevated position, and an open, see-through area located below the electronic display subassembly and within the framework. The open, see-through area provides sightlines through the display assembly, by way of example. Wiring may be routed from a base along or through upward extending members of the framework, such as to the electronic display subassembly.

Abstract: Electronic display assemblies are disclosed which include a housing having an intake and an exhaust, an electronic display located within the housing, a first airflow pathway fluidly connected to an ambient environment and extending through the housing between the intake and the exhaust, a first portion of which extends proximate to a rear surface of the electronic display and a second portion of which extends rearward of, and is spaced apart from, the rear surface of the electronic display. A second airflow pathway is separated from the first airflow pathway and forms a closed, continuous pathway within the housing. At least a portion of the second airflow pathway is located rearward of the electronic display. One or more electronic assemblies for operating the electronic display assembly are located within the portion of the second airflow pathway located rearward of the electronic display.

Abstract: Display assemblies with distributed airflow are provided. Side assemblies, each having a display layer located behind a cover are connected to a frame. A cavity is located, at least in part, between the side assemblies and spaced apart side panels of a frame. Open airflow pathways are fluidly connected to an ambient environment by way of an intake and extend, at least in part, along a rear portion of the electronic display subassembly of a respective one of the side assemblies to a respective one of exhausts. A closed airflow pathway includes the cavity and is fluidly separated from the ambient environment and the open airflow pathways, and extends, in part, within each of the side assemblies. A first set of fans is provided at or along the intake, and a second set of fans is provided at or along one of the side panels.

Abstract: Systems and methods for remotely monitoring digital signage. Display assemblies include components for operation, including an electronic display, and sensor(s) for monitoring local conditions. Server(s) receive data from the sensors and components of the display assemblies by way of local controllers and network connection devices of the display assemblies. The data is stored such that data points thereof are identifiable to the display assembly and sensor or component of origination. Data requests are received requesting specific information. For each request, a subset of the data points is retrieved in accordance with the data request and at least one data output display is generated based on the subset of said data points.

Abstract: Display units for executing operational updates in a prioritized fashion are disclosed. A control subsystem is in electronic communication with an electronic display, sensor(s), and a thermal management subsystem. Requests to update established operational parameters for the electronic display and the thermal management subsystem are received at the control subsystem. The established operational parameters include operational parameters specific to sensor readings. The control subsystem determines which of the requests would provide a largest change to the established operational parameters if implemented, and prioritize that, largest, one of the requests for execution.

Abstract: Display assemblies with thermal management features are provided. The display assemblies include an image assembly, a housing for the image assembly having an intake and exhaust. A first, continuous airflow pathway is located within the housing, and includes a first portion located forward of the image assembly and a second portion located rearward of the image assembly. A second airflow pathway extends within the housing between the intake and the exhaust. A heat exchanger located within the housing and rearward of the image assembly includes a first set of ducted passageways forming part of the first airflow pathway and a second set of ducted passageways forming part of the second airflow pathway. The first set of ducted passageways extend alongside, in an alternating fashion with, the second set of ducted passageways.

Abstract: An electronic display assembly includes an electronic display located within a housing. A first airflow pathway fluidly connected to an ambient environment extends through at least a portion of the housing. A second airflow pathway, separated from the first airflow pathway, forms a closed loop within the housing. Some or all electronic components for operating the electronic display assembly are located within the second airflow pathway, such as to at least partially isolate such electronics from dust or other containments in ambient air.
