Abstract: A program recording device includes a route searching unit (101) that searches for a route to a destination based on map information, a determining unit (102) that determines a program to be recorded based on the information concerning the destination or information concerning the route that is searched for by the route searching unit (101), and a recording unit (103) that records the program that is determined by the determining unit (102). Thus, a program that is related to activities of a user can be recorded without requiring a complicated operation such as advance designation of a broadcast date, a broadcast time, a broadcast channel of a program wished to be recorded, or a keyword.

Abstract: A gas generating apparatus is provided which includes a plurality of combustion chambers and a filter chamber. The filter chamber contains a filter which includes a region which is not substantially heated by combustion gases generated by one combustion chamber and which receives combustion gases subsequently generated in another combustion chamber. In this fashion, a high gas cooling efficiency is achieved. The gas generating apparatus has an upwardly-opening vessel-shaped base and a downwardly-opening vessel-shaped cup which when combined form an outer shell of combustion chambers. A filter cap is fixed to the upper side of the cup, thereby defining the filter chamber. A first combustion chamber is positioned outside a pipe through the base and a second combustion chamber is formed inside the pipe. A foil on the inner surface of the filter chamber prevents combustion gases emitted by one combustion chamber entering another combustion chamber.

Abstract: A vessel for a gas generator is formed of a cylindrical body, and at least one partition wall situated inside the body to divide the interior of the body into a plurality of chambers. The partition wall has a plastic deforming portion at an outer periphery thereof, which closely contacts an inner peripheral surface of the vessel by causing plastic deformation in a diameter-increasing direction. The partition wall can be easily secured to the vessel, and the vessel can be manufactured at a low cost.
