A method for controlling an advertisement rank includes determining multiple advertisements corresponding to a keyword, identifying an affiliate advertisement among the identified advertisements, the affiliate advertisement being associated with a user benefit, and calculating, by the processor, a rank index of the affiliate advertisement based on a value of the user benefit.
