摘要： A cable connector for attaching a cable having stranded wires enclosed in an insulated enclosure has a metal plate attached to the stranded wires. A threaded bolt is passed through an aperture in the metal plate and held in position by a nut. The parts, with the exception of the portion of the threaded shank extending beyond the nut, and the outer surface of the nut are hermetically sealed in an insulating enclosure. Finally a malleable sleeve of conductive material is fitted over a portion of the uncovered threaded shank of the bolt. When the shank of the bolt and the sleeve are passed through an aperture in a bulkhead or other conductor member, and a nut tightened on the end of the bolt projecting through the conductor member, the malleable sleeve is longitudinally compressed causing it to radially expand within the aperture in the conductor member.

摘要： Through-the-wall hot and ground type improved stud connectors are disclosed for use being positioned through heavy duty motor vehicle battery box sidewalls, engine fire walls, dashboards and the like. The stud connector including a connector housing of conductive material including a threaded bore axially therethrough. First and second flat annular lands defining opposing ends on the conductor housing. The annular outer surface on the connector housing extends from the first annular land to the second annular land. A portion of the outer surface adjacent the second flat annular land is threaded. The invention resides in a threaded stud member of predetermined length being threadedly engaged with the threaded bore axially through the connector housing for providing adjustable length threaded stud mountings on opposing ends of the connector housing.

摘要： Through the wall hot and ground type stud connectors are disclosed for use being positioned through truck and other heavy duty motor vehicle battery box side walls, engine firewalls, dashboards and the like. The stud connector includes a unitary conductive connector element with opposed first and second male connector ends and a radially enlarged central segment therebetween. In the hot type stud connector an overmold insulative member extends around part of the enlarged central segment and has a face that abuts a surface of a wall member and an annular flange that extends through a wall aperture to insulate the connector from the wall. An insulative nut member has a face for abutting an opposing surface of a wall member. A complementary cylindrical recess in the nut member slidingly receives the annular flange for fitting through various thicknesses of walls. The ground connector has a smaller overmold insulative member with a face for abutting one surface of a wall member. The enlarged central segment of the connector includes a radially extending face for abutting electrically conductive contact with a wall member radially outwardly of an aperture through the wall.

The cap is made of rubber or other pliable, non-conductive material and has a hollow cylindrical section and a planar section across the top of the cylindrical section. The cyclindrical section fits tightly over the terminal head, and the cap is retained over the terminal by the friction of the cylindrical section around the terminal head. The bottom of the cap seals against the insulated portions of a connector which is retained by the battery terminal.
