Abstract: A container for a firearm or other valuable, which may be worn on a belt, comprising and enclosure having an interior volume and containing an opening in a surface thereof, a retractable cover for covering the opening when the retractable cover is in a non-retracted position, a firearm retaining mechanism disposed within the interior volume; a firearm extending mechanism disposed within the interior volume; and a releasable latch for maintaining the firearm extending mechanism in a retracted position. A user may manually retract the cover causing a firearm contained within the interior volume to be extended for easy access. Geolocation, status and other information may be communicated to a remote user through a wireless data link. A camera may be activated by retracting the cover were upon video data may be transmitted to a remote monitor. The container may be remotely locked or unlocked. The container may be a holster.

Abstract: Methods for producing custom hand grips that are shaped to fit the hand of a specific user, and custom hand grips produced by the method. A sleeve of moldable material is applied to an internal frame in the shape of the desired handle, forming a moldable hand grip. The user grips the moldable material, deforming the moldable material to be shaped to conform to the hand of the user, forming a molded hand grip. The molded firearm hand grip is then scanned three dimensionally to produce an electronic file(s) containing information defining the exterior shape of the molded firearm grip. The electronic file is then used to produce a custom hand grip by machining and/or additive manufacturing processes. The invention includes methods and structures for all types of hand grips, including but not limited to firearm, sporting equipment and tool hand grips.

Abstract: A sighting system comprising light-emitting rear sighting indicators in which a set of rear sighting indicators disposed on or near the hammer end of a firearm, and, optionally, a front sighting indicator that comprises a brightly colored dot or fiber-optic sighting indicator. The rear sighting indicators may comprise fiber-optic elements that channel light energy towards the user's eye. In use, when the user brings the firearm to a firing position, the user's eyes and mind are able to quickly acquire the light-emitting rear indicators and subconsciously aim the firearm at an intended target, or to point the firearm in a desired direction. Thus, the fast acquiring firearm sighting system enables a firearm to be quickly aimed and fired. The use of the fast acquiring firearm sighting system of the invention reduces the processing load on the user's eyes and brain and makes aiming the firearm intuitive and instant.

Abstract: A portable safe for a firearm or other valuable, which may be worn on a belt, comprising a first plate and second cover hingedly connected along a bottom edge, and comprising a latch along a top edge. The latch may be manually operated and may be remotely lockable to prevent unauthorized opening. A firearm may be stored in the invention by placing the barrel of the gun onto a barrel pin in a sliding engagement. The barrel pin may be long enough to protrude into the chamber of the invention to prevent storage of a firearm that has a round in the chamber. The portable safe may be configured for left or right hand draw. The invention may comprise a GPS receiver such that its location may be easily ascertained. The safe comprises safety features preventing unauthorized use while allowing an authorized user quick access to its contents.

Abstract: An improved magazine gun lock safety for a semiautomatic handgun has a rectangular safety catch with a right angled OFF activating lever affixed on one side. When the magazine is removed from the gun magazine chamber, the safety catch which is pivotal angles over pushed by a biasing spring so the OFF lever protrudes through an opening into the empty magazine chamber. In this position, the safety is ON and interferers with the hammer spring guide. The gun hammer spring can not activate the trigger-hammer mechanism and the hammer is immobilized preventing the gun from being fired. If a live cartridge has remained undetected in the firing chamber, the gun cannot be fired accidentally. When the magazine is pushed back into the handgun magazine chamber, it forces the OFF activating lever back out of the handgun magazine chamber and the safety catch is in the OFF position releasing the hammer spring guide. The trigger-hammer mechanism is then operational and the gun can be fired.
