摘要： A liquid discharge device includes: a liquid discharge head; a nozzle array disposed on the head in a conveyance direction; a movement driver that moves the head to discharge liquid from the nozzle array in a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction in a reciprocating manner; a discharge driver that causes the head to discharge the liquid; a conveyor that conveys an object; and a controller that acquires an amount of conveyance of the object by the conveyor over a period during which the head moves from a predetermined position to a position where the head is to discharge the liquid to a target pixel, and determines, on which reciprocating travelling of the head to discharge the liquid and from which nozzle in the nozzle array to discharge the liquid, based on the amount of conveyance.

摘要： A starter which is capable of having an operator easily perform the starting operation of a backpack-type power working machine while shouldering it, is lighter in weight and cheaper in manufacturing cost, is relatively free from trouble, and can not easily be damaged even if a portion of the starter is caught by the branch of a tree. In this starter, a recoil handle attached to one end portion of the recoil rope is placed remote from the main body of the starter by a predetermined distance and adapted to be supported by a handle-supporting member provided at a specific portion of the working machine; and an extended portion of the recoil rope which is located between the main body and the handle-supporting member is loosely sheathed by a flexible guide pipe, one end of which being fixed, and the other end being made free.

摘要： A plasma processing apparatus has first and second electrodes disposed around a tubular chamber for generating a plasma. Each of the first and second electrodes comprises a plurality of web-shaped electrode segments spaced by a constant distant and disposed substantially halfway around the chamber. Each of the web-shaped electrode segments has opposite ends fastened to a pair of respective insulators disposed diametrically opposite to each other across the chamber. The web-shaped electrode segments of the first electrode are electrically connected to each other by a conductor on one of the insulators, and the web-shaped electrode segments of the second electrode are electrically connected to each other by a conductor on the other conductors. The first electrode is connected to a high-frequency power supply, and the second electrode is connected to ground.

摘要： This laryngoscope has a blade whose height is tapered shorter at the end that is connected to the handle and whose other end has two pivotally connected tips. The tips are manually operated on by a mechanism that is controlled by the operator's thumb. When the blade is in place and the tips are activated, one tip displaces the epiglottis anteriorly and the other tip displaces the posterior wall of laryngopharynx posteriorly thereby exposing the aditus of larynx for intubation. In addition, the width of the blade tips flare out beyond the width of the blade.
