The server includes a purchase request reception unit receiving the purchase request transmitted by the purchase request transmission unit, and a first item imparting unit imparting the first item in response to the purchase request received by the purchase request reception unit. An upper limit is set to the cumulative number of the purchased first items for the user who plays the game using the game device.

摘要： The present invention relates to an information processing system, an information processing apparatus and method, and a program in which the purchase of content can be facilitated. When a device to which content data is downloaded and a device for giving an instruction to purchase the content data are different, a purchase form for purchasing the content data is sent to the device for giving an instruction to purchase the content data. The user ID and password are input into the purchase form, and the device to which the content data is downloaded is determined by the user ID. If the device to which the content data is downloaded cannot be specified because the user registers a plurality of devices, a destination determination form for specifying the device to which the content data is downloaded is sent. The content data is then distributed to the device indicated in the destination determination form. The present invention is applicable to a server for executing processing concerning content data.

摘要： Upon receiving a request for distribution of content data, determination is made whether or not the transmission can be performed, based upon a transmission reservation table. If a user has specified the transmission point in time, a transmission device refers to the reservation state corresponding to the specified point in time, and if available, the transmission device makes a reservation for the specified transmission point in time. Otherwise, the transmission device makes a reservation for an available transmission point in time near the specified point in time, as appropriate. If the user has not specified the transmission point in time, the transmission device transmits the content data at an available point in time, as appropriate. If the transmission device cannot acquire predetermined information, and accordingly cannot determine the transmission point in time, the transmission device generates a schedule indicating that the transmission point in time has not been fixed.
