摘要: An example magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system uses magnetic fields and radio frequency waves to generate anatomical images of a biological organism, such as a human body, for example. The example MRI system can implement a prospective gating technique, such as cardiac gating and/or respiratory gating, to provide some examples, to improve the image quality of the anatomical images. The prospective gating technique utilizes one or more physiological events of the biological organism to trigger the example MRI system to image the biological organism at specific times to improve the image quality of the anatomical images, compensating example for interference that may be introduced by the magnetic fields and/or the radio frequency waves.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an electrocardiograph cable for use in an MRI system. The electrocardiograph cable includes a cable jacket and a plurality of lead wires extending through the cable jacket. Each of the plurality of lead wires includes a first end segment coupled to a monitoring electrode, a second end segment coupled to a monitoring device, an electrically insulating core extending from the first end segment to the second end segment, an electrically conductive wire having a plurality of turns wound around the electrically insulating core from the first end segment to the second end segment, and an electrically insulating sleeve covering the electrically conductive wire wound around the electrically insulating core.

摘要: A method for distinguishing between individual human subjects using plethysmographic waveforms. In one embodiment, the method comprises the steps of: receiving a plurality of plethysmographic signals from different individuals; normalizing the signals to the same period length and mean; changing the basis of each of the plurality of signals to obtain its basis vectors and coefficients; reducing the number of coefficients for each signal in the plurality of signals; and calculating the covariance matrix and mean for each individual's set of normalized and dimensionally-reduced plethysmograph waveforms. In another embodiment, the method further comprises the step of taking the Mahalanobis distance between each new plethysmograph waveform that has also been normalized and dimensionally reduced and the stored models of all individuals. In yet another embodiment, the method further comprises the step of finding the index of the stored model with the minimum Mahalanobis distance.
